solarbird posted some wacky stuff that someone in the Idaho state legislature said. I don't want political debate -- I just want to point out the excellent line:

"Divorce is just terrible," Rep. Dick Harwood, R-St. Maries, said. "It's one of Satan's best tools to kill America."

This is up there with the idea that someone "hates freedom", and I thus I wish to release it gently into the meme wilds.

We'd better get our gov't going on creating the Global (or would it be Universal?) War on Satan, then, and find another enormous budget to spend!

Ok, pardon my rant, but: You don't like divorce? Here's an idea: Make it harder for people to get married. Instead of trying to make divorce nigh impossible, thus trapping people in loveless and even abusive marriages, make it harder for them to get INTO those marriages in the first place.
