So. That earthquake. Doods, I felt that. Not the shaking (duh, at 400 miles away?), but the "*ping* Huh? WTF? Something totally just happened in the last ten minutes..." as I was sitting in the waiting room at the eye doctor's while enotsola was having his eyes poked at.

Weird.

P.S. Squiggly mass of red dots on top of the big blue one (looks different now than at 12:30 because fewer of them are "past hour"):



I was like "hee hee! Lookit allem aftashocks!" enotsola, er, didn't share my amusement.

meh - 40ish miles out from the the epicenter we didn't feel a single aftershock.

I never feel earthquake aftershocks, myself. Didn't feel any from the similar-sized earthquake we had up here last October. But visually it was cool to look at.

The ping? Is that like a strange feeling letting you know that there has been a disturbance in the force as it were. I get that with earthquakes, even international ones. Weird, I know...

"Ping" was a sound effect there, like something light bouncing off something metallic, but yeah, "disturbance in the Force" is a good way to map it.
