Tab Mix Plus replacement

Firefox users, what's your favorite Tab Mix Plus replacement? I'm still clinging on to Pale Moon for a variety of reasons, but am starting to get very tired of the way it tends to choke on sites like DeviantArt and Facebook, dealing with "your browser is out of date!" nagging because websites don't recognize it (or having to try to keep up on tailoring fake Firefox useragent strings), and actual non-functionality of some websites. One of the things I don't want to give up is TMP-like tab managing, but though I held out hope for a while that it would be updated to work with whatever extension packaging it is Firefox uses now (since the browser tab it would open after updating asked for donations to support that development), I think at this point it's definitely been abandoned.

Tab grouping isn't something I use. I use TMP's features to prevent blank tabs when opening things like PDFs; don't open new tabs next to current one i.e. open them at the end of the tab stack; load tabs progressively when opening more than X tabs simultaneously; do not load until selected when opening more than Y; open tabs from groups of bookmarks; protect and lock tabs; display tabs in multuple rows if there are more than will fit on the screen; more than one undo closed tab; custom style for read/unread tabs; reload or close tabs to left/right of current tab; bookmark all tabs; and its different session manager, although TBH I haven't actually looked at Firefox's and it may be different than Pale Moon's.

Oof, yeah, Panorama View definitely won't take care of those things for you. As far as I've seen, Firefox won't do most of that on its own for you either.

Looks like the TMP folks are developing some web extensions that will eventually cover the range of TMP functions, if you haven't seen, but other than that, it seems like everything else is pretty limited.

I'm pretty sure development of actual TMP has been abandoned. A similar plea for money for this purpose used to come up whenever TMP was updated (and I did donate back in 2017 when it first came up), but even that last update was over a year ago. There is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus-webextension/ which seems to be a successor, but itself has not been updated in almost 2 years and is only a small portion of the functions, at that.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxytab/ does some of these functions. A couple appear to be built into Firefox.

I'm honestly surprised with so many lovers of TMP that nothing has been created so far that really replaces it. I know my partner definitely lamented its discontinuation. It looks like what you've mentioned seems to be a start but it seems like there's nothing that combines them all like TMP did. Now I get why you're asking around for a replacement!
