(no, not in relation to taxes. I don't make enough for "itemized deductions" to make any sense.)

Since making the mistake of sending a traceable contribution to a charity gets you on their mailing list forever (e.g., NOW) as well as netting you tons of mail from related organizations and even seemingly unrelated ones, I had the idea that it might be nice to send anonymous cash to charities whose mailing lists I don't really want to be on, but whose causes I support. But are they able to actually do anything with any $20 bill I would send in their reply envelopes, or does it not "count" because of the tax laws regarding non-profits? I mean, do they have to spend it on lunch rather than adding it to the overall revenue because of its undocumentable source, or what?
