news is often a bit useless IMO). Why has LJ begun holding ONTD so close to its breast and giving it such speshul treatment? I know they're like the largest LJ community EVAR; is it that they generate tons of revenue (so, follow the money if I want to know why)?
What would have made more sense was a widget that you could customize to point to any community whose most recent 5 posts you wanted to display, say. (Would make a sensible paid feature.)
