Is anyone else out there using Firefox 1.0PR? If so, have you found any way to make Find As You Type search only links, as was an option in previous versions? I don't mind the Find bar so much (I almost never use Find to find text in page anyway) but not being able to restrict it to links is a showstopper for me, as it makes the feature almost useless for navigating a page, something I have been doing all the time to save my wrist from mousing. Has anyone solved this, or am I just going to have to revert to 0.9.3?

Also, how about the fact that it doesn't seem to be parsing my userChrome, or else, not understanding the line in it that changes the size of the search box (Google in mine) in the toolbar. Is the file in some new location (I tried copying it from the folder it is in to the place where I saw the samples, which is US > Chrome or something; no dice), or is it just ignoring said command?

My current combination of mailing lists, livejournal communities, and message boards is not keeping me occupied enough. I only get trickles of email and I keep checking the boards and lj in vain for new posts. So tell me, where should I be reading and possibly posting? (Personal journal recs also welcome.) Comment with a suggestion. Recs for content-rich fora of mystical or fantastical nature especially appreciated. You might want to take a gander at my interests list first, and please note that I am almost entirely uninterested in politics and "current events" type things. Click to see a list of things I am already in/on, if you want to be sure of not giving a duplicate. )

I really don't know why I'm having this thought, but...

Why is it that one never sees Japanese cheese, even in the most worldly cheese-counter? Even if there's some kind of dairy importation law, that wouldn't stop it - lots of cheeses of a particular ethnic style (e.g. feta, mozzarella...) are made right here in CA. Do the Japanese just not have much dairy in their culinary history?

Presidential Horror Show

No, I mean the kind with Rocky, not the kind that it actually is.

Seriously, it's funny. (requires Flash)

Why is there a locksmith's ad on the spine of my phone book? Who would be keeping it outside their house or car, that they'd be able to see this number when they most needed it?
