Chill, people. This doesn't mean they expect Bush to be president forever. It means they don't know if he will actually be president through 2009. He could die or be assassinated or something. (can we only hope? wait, that makes Cheney president... never mind.)

OK, people, look. I refuse to accept that I am a bad person and have contributed to the power of The Man™ because I bought [livejournal.com profile] enotsola a frigging Valentine's Day card. I like sending him gifts and cards. I do so at the slightest excuse (i.e.: commercialized holidays) and often without "excuses" either (i.e.: random other times of the year, whenever I feel like it). I don't think he gets a lot of fun stuff in the mail. I am not artistic enough to draw my own pictures and my poetry fountain seems to have gotten turned off several years ago, so when I come across a card that makes me giggle and say "he would like this", I don't think there's anything wrong in buying it and sending it. I don't feel that I have to or else. So I am not going to feel guilt and shame at having done so at one of the commerically approved times of the year.
