Kay, I give in. I started another journal for my fandom stuff because it's just getting kind of unmanageable. So if esmestrella friends you, that's me. Nothing there yet; gotta work on that.

esmeralda + estrella = esmestrella, emerald star, or star emerald. hehehe i am so clever yis. (not that "star emerald" would be translated as "star" + "emerald", just that I liked the portmanteau.) I lit on this when heartssdesire said "Astraea"; "Estrella" is pronounced almost identically. Emeralds are my favourite gemstone and I have always liked the name Esmeralda, but it is just way too dramatic for mousy little me; also, so taken as a user name (so was unaestrella). Esmestrella is hardly less dramatic looking, but it still shortens to Esme, which is kind of... unassuming and... wieldy (whatever the opposite of "unwieldy" is). And you can even pronounce it the Yankee way and it still kind of works, although it sounds like something out of a cheesy fairy tale then. (So, your pronunciation guide: EZZ-meh-STRAY-yuh. ^_^)
