mm, politics.
Nov. 4th, 2008 09:50 pmO hai, internets! Are you exploding? I'm here to find out!
Awesome phrase I heard on the news tonight: "Bush fatigue". (cue
enotsola snickering like a 12-year-old.)
I came home in the middle of McCain's concession speech, and it took me a while to figure out that's what it was and not him just going "hey, don't give up yet". I'm pleased, actually; very gracious. And also pleased that he was like "hey, that's not on" when people in the audience started booing Obama.
Also, I'm thrilled that we didn't have a recounting soap-opera, and that Florida was apparently a pretty smooth win. When I was looking at the earliest results at work, I was worried that we were going to have another 2004, where the electoral vote winner (Obama) was not the same as the popular vote winner (McCain). I was going to be in an ethical quandary, because if I don't like it when it makes my candidate lose, then I also shouldn't like it when it makes my candidate win, yanno? But fortunately that doesn't seem to have happened.
Prop 4: Come on, pull away further than 51% No!
Prop 8: *facepalm*
This from the news, so I may be behind. I can't load any of the vote.sos.ca.gov pages. I'm sure their servers are getting hammered.
Oh, and the Castro is, um, exploding way more than the internets... they've got the crowd control out already (may have sooner, I dunno).

Nov. 4th, 2008 11:56 pmClicked on this location link in someone's post. Wasn't expecting sensible results:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=U.S.+of+Obama
There are some, actually, in Illinois and some such. But I said:
"Aw, man. Should have been 'White House. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue... bitches'."
enotsola: [dies] Totally needs that "...bitches."
