He won't be there for a minimum of 6 months, possibly as much as a year, so I can't make any plans on his behalf. I was thinking of trying another myself, since I am in contact with someone who may have an available private (and cheaper, and with more amenities) site to use. When were you thinking of?

I was thinking of having it in Humboldt county. There is a place called Avenue of the Giants which is this stretch of highway parallel to the main freeway 101 that drives right through the redwoods. ANd there are several camping areas along this drive. It is beautiful!! I've camped there twice in two different camp sites. There is also a river that runs through some of the camping areas. We would be willing to plan the gathering according to your schedule. I really beleive that you bring so much to the community that it really wouldn't be a gathering without you there. As far as I know, you are the one person who has been in the otherkin community the longest out of all of us. (I may be wrong on that guess)

Where is this possible private (and cheaper) place for us to have a gathering? Is itin Canada? That might be a little too far for me to drive. (or technically for me to get my friend to drive me, since I can't drive myself) And definately too far for those who are coming from San Deigo or LA.

I wasn't asking when versus my personal schedule, but because I didn't want to mistakenly pick the same weekend and have the two events conflict, or be too close together. I was thinking of April or so but I need to talk to the site owner about when the best weather is.

No, I didn't know you were moving back down to California. Fi that is the case then I don't need to plan one up here in humboldt. We'll just have the one in the Bay Area.

Also -- I was (am currently) way out in Ontario. Not in British Columbia. It'd be way too far for anyone from the west coast short of flying, if I had been thinking of organizing a gather here! (Which I was, before it developed that I'd be leaving, but I wouldn't have brought it up to you in that case.) Never been to BC in my life, in fact!

Eventually, hence my saying "6 months to a year". It's the whole immigration process in reverse, except this time we are actually doing it as fiances which is a faster process.
