Should we worry about soya in our food?
Side question of articles like this, though - so, you can't eat soy, AND you can't eat meat, AND you can't... so what's left to eat? Everything kills, these days, it seems.

Nevertheless, even as a vegan I do limit myself to only a few servings of soy a week.

Fermentation or similar processes (as for the preparation of miso or tofu) apparently decreases the problematic compounds, and it's the consumption of raw- or near-raw products (pressed oil, the leftover cake, soy flour, and actually, soy milk too) that is an issue.

Yeah, I think that was in the article... that tofu, tempeh, miso, actually really really brewed soy sauce, etc. are not so much the problem, partly because they are fermented and also partly because they are not eaten in huge, huge quantity, but rather the large amounts of soybean oil, leftover soy meal and protein, etc. that are worked into every other damn thing on the shelf that are the problem.
Does make me worry a bit about vegans, though, who often rely on the soybean for a lot of their protein, and of course large scale use of soymilk. It's like dude, what's left besides raw-vegan/paleo?

Soybean oil contains far more omega 3 acid than most vegetable oil, so I don't see the point of scaring people with its omega 6 content, unless you want to remind people that it *is* an oil and still should be used sparingly. Soy hormonal impact is very limited per most research, and the research that says otherwise is controversial and as yet unproven.
Anything you consume, there's a scare group out there making noise about it. Fuck them.

Legumes are not by themselves enough. There is no way to get everything you need from legumes.
